From 1974 through 1975, Federica Marangoni was invited by Giuseppe Mazzariol to hold a workshop course on the technology of new materials for the International University of Art, UIA of Venice.
From 1976 through 1989, she worked as assistant professor in the department of Art and Art Education for New York University, holding courses and seminars in New York and summer courses in Venice on sculpture and design, focused on glass as material, heading a special course in Murano for glass design. Invited in many other Universities and Art foundations in the USA she gives lectures particularly on the theme “Art, Arts&Crafts, Design: confrontation, analysis and interactivity”.
In 2001 Marangoni creates for the Town of Este, Padua, the triennial exhibition “Ceramica al centro” (Ceramic at the centre) for the survey of the great ceramic tradition of the territory, which has continued until 2011. The products designed by international artists and architects for these event and realized in the local ceramic factories, formed a great exhibition curated by FM also invited in New York as well as at the Triennale of Milan.
In 2012, she lectured “LIGHT IS ALWAYS FREE”, for the course on Light Art, Design Department at the Polytechnic of Milan. Federica Marangoni was also invited to the architecture and design special event of INTERNI magazine, at the Università Statale, Fuorisalone Milan 2013/2014.

Dal 1974 al 1976 è invitata dal prof. Mazzariol a tenere per l’Università Internazionale dell’Arte di Venezia un corso-laboratorio sulla tecnologia dei nuovi materiali. Insegna come professore aggiunto per 15 anni alla New York University: dal 1976 al 1989 è prof. aggiunto nel dipartimento di Arte ed Educazione artistica tenendo corsi e seminari a New York e a Venezia i corsi estivi, di scultura e design in particolare focalizzati sulla materia “Vetro”, e sulla progettazione di opere pubbliche site specific. Ha tenuto lezioni in varie Università e centri Culturali degli U.S.A.: Wayne State University, Detroit Michigan (1977); Centro per gli studi Creativi, Dipartimento Vetro, Università di Arte e Design, Detroit Michigan (1979); Paterson state Collage, N. J. (1978); Columbia University, New York City (1978), Parson School of Design, Altos de Chavon Dominican Republic (Seminario: Novembre 1984), Pratt Institute, New York (1995); Virginia Beach Art Center,(1996). Dal 2001 al 2011, cura per il Comune di Este, Padova, “Ceramica al Centro”, Triennale della Ceramica, evento culturale promotore della grande tradizione ceramica del territorio. I prodotti disegnati da artisti ed architetti internazionali appositamente per questo evento sono stati realizzati dalle aziende ceramiche locali ed hanno fatto parte di una grande mostra sempre curata da FM, ospitata anche a New York ed alla Triennale di Milano. Durante la sua carriera ha tenuto molte lecture negli Stati Uniti spesso sul tema cruciale: “Arte, Art& Craft, Design: confronto, analisi e interazione”. Nel 2012 ha partecipato con la lecture “La luce è sempre libera” al corso di Light Art della professoressa Gisella Gellini al Politecnico di Milano. Federica Marangoni è stata inoltre invitata allo speciale evento di architettura e design della rivista Interni, all’Università Statale di Milano, Fuorisalone, Milano 2013-2014.
